Popular restaurant Oli's Thai in Oxford has picked up top awards in a national ceremony.

The second annual Food Awards England has celebrated the achievements of food establishments across the country.

Following an awards ceremony in Manchester on Sunday, spokesman Irfan Younis said: "We hope the public and the nominees continue to support this hard working and thriving industry.

"We would like to congratulate all the winners and all the finalists who truly had tough competition this year."

There were 25 accolades and Oli's Thai in Magdalen Road, East Oxford, was named overall winner of the Best Oriental Establishment, and winner of Best Oriental Establishment, South.

Best Italian Establishment, South went to Mamma Mia in Oxford, while The Kingham Plough near Chipping Norton was named Gastro Pub of the Year.

The Caterer of the Year award, South, went to Oxford Fine Dining Ltd, and the Restaurant of the Year, South, award was given to The Oxford Kitchen.

Reg's Cafe in Banbury picked up the Cafe/Bistro of the Year, South, award.
