PARK Road in Didcot is closed both ways due to flooding on the street.

The road is closed due to flooding at Brook Lane/Main Road.

Thames Water are currently trying to stem the flow of the water. Spokeswoman Sarah Andrews said no houses had been internally flooded.

Jennie Kuca, who lives at 43 Main Road in West Hagbourne, said: "We noticed our water running really slow from the tap. We thought it was just us but our neighbour rang because she had it too.

"We have a very slow trickle. It started around lunchtime. But we're right on the main road and the traffic is still moving."

Police and the fire service are at the scene dealing with the incident.

Spokeswoman for Thames Water Sarah Andrews said: "We’re sorry for the disruption caused by our burst pipe.

"Our engineers are working hard to stop the flow of water and if our work goes according to plan we expect water supplies to return to normal over the next couple of hours.

"We’re also doing everything we can, with the help of the fire service, to clear excess water and get local roads reopened.
