SOLDIERS from the barracks named after First World War hero Edward Brooks officially unveiled a new memorial at his grave.
The gleaming black granite tablet was commissioned by Keith Brooks, from Horspath, grandson of the Company Sergeant Major who was awarded the Victoria Cross.
On Saturday, Mr Brooks and family members gathered at Rose Hill Cemetery to unveil the memorial, with soldiers from 7 Rifles, based at Edward Brooks Barracks near Abingdon, next to Dalton Barracks.
