TYPICAL English bank holiday weather failed to rain off the city’s third annual Littlemore Fayre.
The bunting was up and crowds turned out yesterday for the annual fayre put on by The George pub in Sandford Road.
Fairground rides, face painting and food made up the celebration which this year raised money for Sobell House Hospice, based at the Churchill Hospital in Headington.
Landlord of the pub Nigel Woodley said: “It is bigger than last year and it just keeps growing.
“Unfortunately, the English weather is not on our side again but we have still had a very good turnout.
“I want to thank those who came out with their brollies.
“As a local person I like to do an annual fayre – there is a lot going on and all the local charities come along as well to raise money.”
The event included rides and games, face painting and a barbecue.
