Karl Scale, 25, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted threatening to use unlawful violence at Albion Place, Oxford, on July 18. Given a community order with 100 hours unpaid work in the next 12 months and ordered to pay a £60 victim’s surcharge, £85 costs and a £180 criminal courts charge.

Ollie Cheney, 20, of no fixed address, admitted stealing a crate of Fosters worth £9 from the Co-op in Thame High Street on March 18. Fined £133 and ordered to pay £27 compensation, a £20 victim’s surcharge and £85 costs.

Timothy Fitzgibbon, 36, of Bicester Road, Launton, admitted driving without due care and attention in Thame Road, Blackthorn, on January 5. Fined £600 and ordered to pay a £60 victim’s surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with five points.

Alice Robinson, 23, of Kent Close, Oxford, admitted being drunk and disorderly in George Street, Oxford, on July 23. Fined £35 and ordered to pay a £20 victim’s surcharge and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Christopher Bell, 23, of Chancellor Close, Abingdon, admitted assaulting a man by beating him in Abingdon on June 28. Fined £655 and ordered to pay £650 compensation, a £66 victim’s surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Abdul Rahim, 28, of Copse Lane, Marston, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Oxford on January 21. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim’s surcharge and £50 costs.

Simon White, 36, of Moorbank, Blackbird Leys, admitted stealing a bottle of beer from Spar in Dunnock Way, Oxford, on July 30. Also admitted stealing two bottles of vodka worth £60 from Waitrose in Thame on July 22 and a DVD player worth £65 from Sainsbury’s in Witney on July 29, all while subject to a suspended sentence order made at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on July 17 for theft. Given a one-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay an £80 victim’s surcharge and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Ian Bye, 40, of Croft Road, Marston, admitted assaulting a man and a woman by beating them in London Road, Headington, on July 23. Also admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress on the same occasion. Given a Community Order requiring nine months of alcohol dependency treatment and a three-month curfew between 9am and 7am. Also ordered to pay a £60 victim’s surcharge, £40 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Adam Humphreys, 31, of Whitecross, Abingdon, admitted damaging a boat belonging to Salters Steamers in Botley Road, Oxford, to the value of £1,500 on June 7. Also admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour against a man on the same occasion on June 7. Ordered to pay £1,600 compensation, fined £150 and ordered to pay a £20 victim’s surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Matthew Pietersen, 44, of Marston Road, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Oxford on July 15. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim’s surcharge, £35 costs and a £180 criminal courts charge.

Daniel Welch, 18, of Sinodun Road, Didcot, admitted assaulting a man by beating him in Cow Lane, Didcot, on December 15. Given a community order requiring 40 hours of unpaid work in the next year and ordered to pay a £60 victim’s surcharge and £85 costs.

Louis Renshaw-Calisse, 21, of Charles Street, Oxford, admitted possessing five wraps of MDMA, a Class A drug, in Oxford on May 1. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victim’s surcharge, £85 costs and a £180 criminal courts charge.

Alan Stockwell, 49, of Woodin’s Way, Oxford, admitted stealing £150 worth of memory cards from Vodafone in Oxford on June 11. Fined £100 and ordered to pay £150 compensation, a £20 victim’s surcharge and £85 costs. Also ordered to pay a £150 criminal courts charge.

John Wrighton, 41, of Slade Close, Headington, admitted stealing two sandwiches and a pot of fruit worth a total of £8.30 from Costa Coffee in Oxford on May 18. Given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim’s surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Paul Hubble, 32, of no fixed address, admitted assaulting a man by beating him in Oxford on August 5. Also admitted a charge of common assault against a woman in Oxford on the same date. Sent to prison for a total of 16 weeks. Magistrates said the offence was so serious because of previous convictions. Restraining order made against both victims until August 7, 2025. Also ordered to pay an £80 victim’s surcharge and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Ashley Powell, 25, of Weymann Terrace, Oxford, admitted driving while disqualified and without valid insurance on Saunders Road, Oxford, on June 25. Given a two-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months and given a 12-month supervision requirement. Also ordered to pay an £80 victim’s surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge. Banned from obtaining a driving licence for 28 days.

BANBURY

Robert Zasada, 24, of no fixed address, admitted destroying a bus windscreen worth approximately £900 belonging to Oxford Bus Company at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, on August 10. Given an absolute discharge but ordered to pay £500 compensation and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Freya Verican, 23, of Moorfield Court, West Street, Banbury, convicted of failing to hand over a train ticket for inspection at Banbury Railway Station on March 9. Fined £200 and ordered to pay £4.90 compensation, a £20 victim’s surcharge and £130 costs.

Harriet Rowntree, 22, of Shipton Road, Fulbrook, near Burford, admitted drink driving in Burwell Drive, Witney, on August 2. Banned from holding a driving licence for 23 months. Disqualification obligatory to the offence.

Kurt Schneyder, 22, of Newbridge, near Witney, admitted drink-driving in Marlborough Road, Banbury, on August 2. Had 75 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the 35mcg legal limit. Joshua Williams, 20, of Dover Avenue, Bretch Hill, Banbury, admitted stealing six DVDs worth £66.95 from Castle Quay, Banbury, on June 16, three DVDs worth £30.97 from Castle Quay, Banbury, on July 16 and a further offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence. Made subject to a curfew for six weeks from August 21, 7pm and 7am each day. Ordered to pay a £60 victim’s surcharge and £150 costs.
