Glastonbury may have the vibes, Wilderness has the setting and the Big Feastival has the food… but Reading has the bands.

Quite simply no other festival has quite the lineup of this big, messy three-day party just over the Thames, at Little John’s Farm.

This year’s bill continues the recent trend for ever more diverse lineups: headliners are Mumford & Sons, Metallica and Pete Doherty’s reformed Libertines. And you don’t get much more eclectic than that.

Other names include Bring Me The Horizon, Limp Bizkit, Wolf Alice, The Maccabees, Alt J, Drengge, Royal Blood, Palma Violets, Panic! At The Disco, Alexisonfire, Pierce the Veil, Jamie T, The Gaslight Anthem, Marmozets, Mariachi El Bronx, Modestep, The Cribs and Rebel Sound – featuring Kidlington reggae legend David Rodigan.

Also up are London folk/Americana trio Bear’s Den.

Reading Festival takes place at Richfield Avenue, Reading, from tomorrow to Monday. Tickets have sold out, but for details on what’s on, log on to readingfestival.com.
