A MAN has been taken to hospital with a head injury after being found lying injured in the road in Chipping Norton.
Police said they were called to Goddards Lane at 8am to reports of the man, thought to be in his 50s, found in the road.
Spokeswoman Connie Primmer said it wasn't yet known how he was injured.
She said the road had been closed while officers make enquiries.
South Central Ambulance Service spokeswoman Gill Hodgetts said they were called shortly before 8am and it was initially reported that he had been involved in a collision. She said he was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital but his injuries were unknown.
