IT WAS double delight for two sets of twins yesterday as they received their A-Level results.

Tom and Nick Daggitt, 18, from Kidlington, celebrated after achieving 5 A*s between them at Magdalen College School, Oxford.

Tom is planning to reapply to the University of Oxford next year to study natural sciences, having failed with his initial application, while Nick will begin studying engineering at the University of Bath in September.

Tom was awarded A*s in maths, further maths and chemistry with an A grade in physics.

Nick achieved an A* in physics and maths with an A in further maths and B in biology.

At Wood Green School, twins Abbie and Sophie Wilcox, 18, discovered their fate together.

The Witney siblings opened their results together after studying in the same sixth form .

Abbie is about to fly to Dubai to take up an internship at a hotel.

Sophie gained an A* and three As in biology, physics, maths and further maths.

She is about to accept a place at Durham University to read biomedical science.
