Head coach Guy Luzon expects Rhoys Wiggins to be the final big name to leave Charlton this summer.

The defender yesterday signed for Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday for an undisclosed fee, ending a four-year spell at The Valley.

And although the SE7 manager is still prepared to let some fringe players depart this month, it seems no more first team regulars will be heading out of the club.

The Israeli said: “No one will leave, only some of the young players that will not be in the squad we will send them on loan or something like that.

“But this squad will be with us until the end of the season.”

One player who doesn’t fit the staying criteria is young striker Joe Pigott.

“Joe Pigott in the end will not be in our full squad,” revealed Luzon.

Pigott has been linked with a return to Southend United after spending the latter stages of last season on loan with the Essex side.

However, Luzon says he isn’t aware if opposite number Phil Brown has followed up that interest recently.

“I don’t know,” replied the Charlton gaffer.

“All these things about teams who have interest or negotiations - it is not my part.

“We have other guys at the club that deal with this.”

Another fringe player rumoured to potentially be on the way out is Callum Harriott, but again the manager was reluctant to speculate.

“We will see,” added Luzon.

“Now I’m not dealing with all the players who will leave or stay, now we have our squad.

“We will bring in another two and if one or two leave it is possible, but from the key players in the team no one will leave.”
