FORMER Premier League star Linvoy Primus helped children sharpen up their football skills.
During a session of the Saoirse Boys Football Club at the Oxford Academy on Wednesday, young players from across Oxford were treated to one-to-one and group coaching sessions with the ex-Portsmouth defender.
About 25 boys, aged from seven to 14, took part in the session and were encouraged to work together, regardless of age or ability.
Mr Primus is also known for his Christian charity work with UK-based organisation Faith and Football. He said: “All team sport has the advantage of teaching good values such as respect, friendship and encouragement.
“It is important that all young people feel as one in a group no matter what they play.”
The boys took part in various drills and exercises to foster teamwork and improve their own ability.
Eleven-year-old Ebo Aneju said: “I play for Kennington Football Club and it was great to get some top tips from Linvoy.”
