CHILDREN tried their hand at a variety of street-based activities at a youth art festival at the weekend.
The Outside The Box festival at Pegasus Theatre in East Oxford gave children the chance to try graffiti, street dancing, beatboxing, cartoon drawing and a performance by actors from Zest Theatre.
The two-day festival saw graffiti artist Tim Vee work with children aged between 11 and 18 to create a masterpiece.
The group even had a lesson in stage fighting in which they learned how to punch, slap, kick and choreograph a fight scene.
Luca Sangiorgio, 11, from East Oxford had a go at graffiti and a range of activities on offer.
He said: “I really enjoyed it, partly because lots of people I knew were there but also there was lots of really good workshops and interactive activities.
“We filled in the graffiti design, it was really good fun.”
