OXFORD MAGISTRATES

Samuel Blake, 21, of Spindleside, Bicester, was convicted of assaulting two men and a woman by beating in St Thomas’ Street, Oxford, on October 19. Also convicted of failing to surrender to custody at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on July 9 this year. Given a 13-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and told to do 180 hours’ unpaid work, pay £450 compensation, an £80 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs. Restraining orders made against all three victims.

Ian Lindsay, 41, of Northampton Road, Oxford, admitted failing without reasonable excuse to comply with a supervision requirement made at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on April 7. Given a 12-week prison sentence.

Iain Starkings, 34, of O’Hanlon House, Oxford, admitted stealing a Hyundai electric fire valued at £119.99 from Pound Stretchers in Witney on July 10. Also admitted stealing perfume valued at £122.50 from Boots in Cornmarket Street, Oxford, on November 24. Also admitted breaching a non-molestation order made by Oxford Family Court on October 8 by sending a threatening message to a woman on Facebook. Fined a total of £350 and ordered to pay £119.99 compensation, £120 costs and a £20 victims’ surcharge.

Rhys Ballard, 27, of Radcliffe Road, Oxford, admitted producing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Oxford on March 23. Fined £400 and ordered to pay a £40 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Jack Brown, 21, of Blacknall Road, Abingdon, admitted damaging a summer house in a garden in Sutton Courtenay on September 21. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £150 costs.

Mark Chandler, 54, of no fixed address, admitted racially-aggravated harassment at Oxford Police Station in St Aldate’s on July 7. Jailed for four weeks.

Eric Dickinson, 50, of Denbigh Close, Banbury, was convicted of driving on the A4260 at Kidlington without valid insurance on November 6. Fined £600 and ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with six points.

Robert Howard, 35, of Smith’s Wharf, Wantage, was convicted of speeding at 39mph in a 30mph speed limit on the A417 at Rowstock on October 10. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with three points.

Istikhar Hussain, 46, of Banbury Road, Kidlington, was convicted of driving a car on which the inner ply of the tyre was exposed in Kidlington on September 4. Fined £400 and ordered to pay a £40 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with three points.

Kieran Carter, 27, of Croft Road, Oxford, convicted of assaulting a man by beating him in Cornmarket Street, Oxford, on September 28. Also admitted assaulting a woman by beating her in Cornmarket Street on the same date. Fined a total of £200 and ordered to pay a total of £200 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.

Miriam Chika, 32, of no fixed address, convicted of assaulting a police officer in the execution of her duty at Abingdon Police Station, Colwell Drive, on January 9. Fined £500 and ordered to pay £500 compensation and £750 costs.

Ryan Hoadley, 27, of Lambourn Road, Oxford, admitted being in charge of a vehicle with an alcohol level above the legal limit in Cleveland Drive on March 6. Had 68 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Also admitted possessing a truncheon in a public place in Cleveland Drive, Oxford, on the same date. Fined £500 and ordered to pay a £50 victims’ surcharge and £500 costs. Driving licence endorsed with 10 points.

BANBURY MAGISTRATES

James Boxall, 35, of Glyme Cottage, Old Chalford, Chipping Norton, admitted drink-driving on the A44 on May 17. Had 202mg of alcohol in 100ml of urine, above the legal limit of 107mg. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a 24-month conditional discharge imposed on June 12, 2013. Fined £345 and ordered to pay a £35 victims’ surcharge, £85 costs and a criminal courts charge of £150. Disqualified from driving or holding a licence for 18 months.

Christopher Chilton, 24, of Cotswold Close, Sibford Ferris, admitted handling stolen goods in Hook Norton Road, Sibford Ferris, Banbury, on March 16 by dishonestly undertaking or assisting in the intention, removal, disposal or realisation of a black HP ProBook laptop of a value unknown, which belonged to another person, for the benefit of himself, or arranged to do so in the knowledge it was stolen. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Kim Rae, 36, of West Street, Banbury, admitted stealing clothing, DVDs and other items worth a total of £208.08 from Tesco Extra in Lockheed Close, Banbury, on July 2. Also admitted stealing clothing worth £73 from Marks and Spencer in Bridge Street, Banbury, on May 28. Made subject of a community order requiring her to undertake a drug rehabilitation programme. Ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge, £40 costs and a £180 criminal courts charge.

Arron Wheddon, 25, of Middleton Road, Banbury, admitted handling stolen goods in Hook Norton Road, Sibford Ferris, Banbury, on March 16 by dishonestly undertaking or assisting in the retention, removal, disposal or realisation three laptops, a circular saw and a TomTom navigation system of a value unknown which belonged to someone else, or dishonestly arranged to do so in the knowledge or belief that they were stolen. Sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months. Ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
