A GRANT of more than £2,000 has been given to an Oxfordshire animal rescue for small animals.

Tiny Paws Rehoming charity, based in Caversfield, near Bicester, takes in, cares for and finds homes for small pets.

The rehoming charity – which has been going for many years but officially became a charity about a year ago – has been awarded £2,500 by the Support Adoption For Pets charity.

Tiny Paws Rehoming trustee Sophie Grose said: “The funding that has been provided to us enables us to help more animals and when they come in, help to rehabilitate.”

Support Adoption for Pets charity manager Amy Wilson said: “It is a real privilege to work alongside such a dedicated team of volunteers and we are delighted to offer our support to a charity that does such an amazing job rehoming small animals.”

Last year the charity’s vets bills exceeded £10,000.
