Oxford City Council’s scrutiny panel will meet tonight to discuss how to help combat inequality issues in the city.

Councillor Van Coulter, chairman of the local authority’s inequality panel, has prepared a report named Combatting Inequality, which was commissioned by the council’s scrutiny committee.

It sets out 21 recommendations that include the enforcement of the city council’s 50 per cent affordable housing policy and creating a living wage hub, to promote and encourages employers to pay it.

At the same meeting, the panel will discuss the performance of Fusion Lifestyle, which runs leisure facilities on the council’s behalf.
