The John Radcliffe Hospital will soon be home to a Pret A Manger sandwich shop.
The Headington hospital has announced contractors Carillion will soon finish building the food shop, which will be in the atrium of the West Wing. Carillion said the shop would create 22 new jobs.
Pret A Manger has been criticised in the past for the amount of salt content and saturated fats in its sandwiches. The chain’s chicken caesar and bacon on artisan bread sandwich contains 2.6g of salt, 43 per cent of a healthy adult’s average daily intake of 6g.
