A PARISH hall has been brushed up after a kind-hearted group responded to an appeal for funds.
Horwich Heritage answered the call of the Horwich Parish Hall Restoration Appeal, with the church needing £30,000 to pay for a number of repairs to keep it running in the future.
It commissioned the services of local painter and decorator Ken Chaisty, who has painted the railings at the front of the hall.
The parish hall, in Church Street, needs extensive rewiring, repairs to rotting window frames and work to remove asbestos in the basement.
It was built in 1793 and is used by a number of community groups.
