POLICE officers have tonight returned to a house in Cowley after two arrests were made in the Barton murder investigations.

Just under 10 officers arrived earlier today and were seen examining the area around the house.

A  house at the corner of Mayfair Road and Hillsborough Road, is taped off and have kept it under police guard this evening.

An officer was also watching a tent which was still up on the corner of Kelburne Road and Hillsborough Road.

A Kelburne Road resident told the Oxford Mail he had seen police officers searching the area using tools, which he described as "a bit like the grabber claws older people use."

Mayfair Road mum-of-two Joanne Williams said: "There have been a lot of people arriving today. We have been and in and out of the house all day but we have noticed the increase."

It came after man in his 20s died in the John Radcliffe Hospital on Wednesday after being found bleeding heavily in a red Mazda in North Way, Barton, on Tuesday night.

A 31-year-old man from Oxford was arrested at the time. A man, who is in his 30s and from Cowley, was arrested on Wednesday night.
