SCORES of cyclists saddled up in Abingdon for an annual festival in the town’s Market Square.

It is the sixth year the free event has taken place where visitors can try out different bikes, join rides and consult repair men.

There was also live music and food and drink on offer at the event on Sunday.

Stuart Dingle, co-owner of Pedal Power Cycles with his brother Tom, said: “It was the biggest and best festival yet and the family rides were fully booked — they went down a storm.

“There has been a really nice and relaxed atmosphere and it was great to get more bums on saddles.”

Rides at the festival ranged from five to 50 miles in length, with the first — of 30 miles — setting off at 9am.
