A MASTERCHEF contestant from Bicester has tonight soared through to the next round of the show's semi final after impressing judges during a Red Arrow Anniversary.

Food blogger Sarah McCready was part of the winning team of four who served up lunch for the Red Arrows for their anniversary lunch in Lincolnshire.

More than 100 dishes were served by the eight cooks, who split up in to teams of two, and were left with just under four hours to complete the meal.

Miss McGready cooked salmon fillet with salmon ravioli with samphire, clams, bacon and asparagus with a white wine sauce.

For dessert it was plum, stem ginger, star aniuse tarte tatin with creme anglaise.

Judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode passed the 24-year-old through the next round set for Wednesday.

The pair said her team were winners for the bravest menu of the day.

Miss McGready said on tonight's programme: "We thought go big or go home."
