A PLANNED strike by Oxford Bus Company staff for Monday has been called off.

Last month a source told the Oxford Mail that the company would have to run at a 20 per cent capacity during the action.

Workers were demanding a four per cent pay rise and Oxford Bus Company only offering three per cent.

But today the firm announced that action would not be taken on Monday and services would run as normal.

Managing director Phil Southall said: "Oxford Bus Company and Unite have agreed on a revised offer that will now be considered by the union members."
