A MAN has been arrested after a shopper was allegedly threatened with a knife in Carterton.
Police said the victim, a 25-year-old man, was putting shopping into his silver Vauxhall Vectra at the Co-op store in Black Bourton Road.
He was approached by a man and woman, and police said the man threatened him while carrying a knife. The victim ran away and the attacker stole a packet of crumpets from his shopping.
Police said the attack was just before 1pm on Saturday, March 28, in the Co-op’s car park. A 28-year-old from Carterton was arrested on suspicion of robbery on the same day and has been bailed until April 27.
