THE body of a woman found in the River Thames last month has been formally identified as missing Oxford woman Emily Stiff.
Police spokeswoman Hannah Williams said her death is being treated as unexplained, but is not believed to be suspicious.
Miss Stiff, 22, had been missing since February 24.
The Riverside Road resident was known to like to walk down the river.
Her body was spotted by a member of the public, in the water behind Weirs Lane, South Oxford, on March 27.
Police had searched the river twice in the fortnight prior to that.
The University College London student’s family have been told of her death.
