THE brothers of a man who led a multi-million pound drugs conspiracy have also been jailed for dealing cocaine, crack and heroin.

Richard and Patrick Gray appeared in Oxford Crown Court today after they admitted plotting to supply the Class A drugs.

Last week Martin Gray, 32, of Randolph Way, Woodstock, was jailed for 18 years alongside nine other members of an international drugs ring.

Prosecutor Cathy Olliver said his brothers were under observation by Thames Valley Police and were followed to Thrupp Lane, Littleworth, on February 13.

She said there they were seen to leave a small, white plastic tub in a field, which officers subsequently discovered contained 25 drug wraps.

The barrister said officers left the tub where it was and again followed 25-year-old Richard and 37-year-old Patrick to Uffington Gorse, near Faringdon, on February 19.

Miss Olliver told Recorder Anna Laney that this time Patrick, of Radford Close, Oxford, left his car and entered nearby woodland.

Police waited until they left and removed the plastic tub, which contained a drugs wrap, then observed the brothers returning the following night.

Miss Olliver said: "Patrick Gray went to the same spot and, it is fair to say, that police watched as he vented some frustration when he realised it wasn't there.

"He then ran back to the car where his brother was waiting and they drove away."

The prosecutor said there was then a collision between a police car and the Grays' car, which stopped the pair escaping.

She added that in total police found crack cocaine worth £12,000, heroin worth £7,950, and about 6g of cocaine hidden in the woods and in the Grays' Volkswagen Golf.

When their addresses where searched officers also discovered cutting agents, electronic scales and £6,000 in cash.

Katy Thorne, defending, said the conspiracy was short lived, only running between February 12 and February 21 this year.

She added that Richard Gray, of Southfield Road, Oxford, had no previous convictions for drugs offences.

But she said that this is the "third strike" for his older brother Patrick, who has two convictions for dealing Class A drugs, so he must receive a mandatory seven-year sentence.

Recorder Laney said she would give both men credit for their guilty pleas and sentenced Patrick Gray to five years and four months and Richard Gray to three years and six months.
