APRIL 1 and in tradition we put three stories out hoping to fox our readers with tales that were too good to be true.
The one that has received the most views online this morning is the idea for a log-flume ride on the long-awaited Oxford flood relief channel
And we have to admit we were kidding over the ban on lawnmowers at the Bicester Eco-Town, replacing them with sheep and goats
Our main jape though was the selling off of rubble from the Westgate Car Park, with the help of god sport John Tanner, who played along for our promotional video.
So how did our best efforts go down today?

And one about a genuine story: county councillors' first day for their new 19 per cent allowance hike
@TheOxfordMail @OxfordshireCC this must be an April fools joke!
