TWO teenagers have been found guilty of an attack in which a man was repeatedly stabbed after they upturned his wheelie bin.

Corey Reid, 18, of Verney Road, Banbury, and a 17-year-old who cannot be named, were unanimously convicted of wounding with intent at Oxford Crown Court on Monday.

At the start of the trial co-defendant Nathan Hawkins, 26, of no fixed address, admitted attacking Adam Cyruszys with a knife in the Causeway, Banbury, in the early hours of February 12 last year.

The two teenagers denied punching and kicking Mr Cyruszys, while Hawkins stabbed him in the face, elbow, side and back.

Giving evidence, their victim, said: “He [Hawkins] put his hand in his pocket and pulled out a knife and shouted that he was going to kill me.

“I turned round and started to run away, but I was wearing flip flops and because it had just rained I slipped and fell over.

“I got up and started running away. At that point those two who were hiding behind the car caught up with me and started hitting me.”
