THE Camanachd Association should know later today whether Lochaber

Camanachd will take them to court in a bid to have Saturday's

Glenmorangie Camanachd Cup semi-final halted.

The Spean Bridge shinty side's solicitors have written to the

association outlining the likelihood of court action. Lochaber are

considering their advice and are expected to decide on the possibility

of seeking an interdict later today.

Club spokesman Kenny MacKintosh said: ''We feel we have to take this

matter all the way now to ensure that such a situation never again

arises. The association's decision to throw us out of the competition

when we couldn't field a team for a midweek match was a gross

injustice.''

Association president Ken Thomson said the situation was ''very

regrettable'' but beyond that he could not comment until the solicitors'

letter had been received.
