Police have closed down a cannabis factory in Headley Way, Headington - the seventh raided in Oxford this year.

Officers raided the house at around 9pm last night and three people were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

Sgt Steve Willis, who led the operation, said: "An early estimation is that there are 300 to 400 plants that were being cultivated, every room in the house was being used.

"I think this is further evidence that we take a hard-line on all types of drugs and that we take every opportunity to prevent them reaching our streets."

A 36-year-old man, a 38-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and are currently in police custody.

The problem with this type of enterprise, the goverment is unable to tax the income of these jolly good fellows and as they are only growing it for recreational use, what'sthe problem!

How could they be growing 300-400 plants and use every room in their for their own recreational use?

Whats the harm in growing a bit of weed? If thats how you choose to make your money so be it. Wouldn't bother me if it was being grown near me.

Would it not be easy to legalise the stuff?

Jade Obviously 300-400 plants are not going to be for personal use, usually 10 or 20 is usually suffice for your own use...
