Police plea over racist graffiti
Racist graffiti has been daubed across a children's play area in Didcot - the second attack in two weeks.
Slogans including 'white power' and 'KKK', a reference to the Ku Klux Klan, and a swastika were spray painted on to equipment at the Ladygrove Park play area in Tyne Avenue.
The vandalism was discovered last weekend and included the graffiti tag 'K-mob' - linking it with a similar attack on outbuildings and windows at All Saints' Primary School, in Tamar Way, earlier this month.
Sgt Fraser Weller, based at Didcot, condemned the graffiti and said racism would not be tolerated.
He said patrols had been stepped up on the Ladygrove estate following the first incident and there had been an increase in antisocial behaviour in the area. He said the police remained committed to hunting down the racist graffiti gang and appealed for people with information to come forward.
Meanwhile, there were similar attacks in Banbury at the weekend.
Seven taxis in the Neithrop area of town had racist remarks written on them in black marker pen when the owners returned on Monday morning.
Similar comments were scrawled on a wall near the Cornhill entrance to Castle Quay, and on the side wall of Bathstore.
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 08458 505505.
