IT is easy to dismiss Alzheimer’s disease as something that affects old people.

Why would someone in their 30s or 40s worry about it?

But the story of Chris Graham, diagnosed with Alzheimer’s aged 34, shows the condition can affect those seemingly young, fit and healthy.

He should be praised for planning to cycling 16,000 miles across North America to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s and dementia charities.

We should all be looking out for the symptoms and giving our support to increase research into tackling the disease.
