ALL the main roads into Oxford city centre are now congested.

Botley Road traffic is moving very slowly, and there are queues on Abingdon Road, Iffley Road, London Road, Banbury Road and Woodstock Road.

Queues are also building on London Road going out of town and the A40 outside the city and on the Eastern Bypass northbound at Cowley.

Heavy traffic is also reported on the A34 north into the city.

A three-car crash is reportedly blocking the A40 Northern Bypass westbound this morning.

Thames Valley Police said they were called to a report of the collision at 7.35am and they and ambulance were attending.

Spokeswoman Hannah Williams said one lane was blocked.

The A40 around Eynsham is starting to look clogged up, as is the M40.

Traffic along the M40 is building up quickly, with congestion now heading from Fritwell and down onto the A34 to Kidlington.

Headington roundabout is slowly getting busier, but the A34 on the approach to Oxford from the south is starting to get very busy.

Work on Frideswide Square starting today has altered bus stops in the city centre, and part of Cowley Road remains closed, with diversions down Iffley Road, while work continues on The Plain roundabout.
