A CHRISTMAS show delighted audiences so much that there is already a buzz about next December’s production.

The Story Museum held its first festive production, Snow and Tell, selling out performances in its final fortnight.

The show finished its run on Sunday, but already museum staff are looking forward to December 2015.

Joint director of the Story Museum Kim Pickin said: “We were really thrilled with our first Christmas show.

“Numbers continued to grow throughout the run, until we sold out shows over the last two weeks.

“Audiences of all ages seemed to have a great time, as did we.

“We’re already looking forward to next year’s show.”

Daisy Bell, four, from Kidlington, saw the show at the museum in Pembroke Street, Oxford, with her brother Charlie, seven.

Mum Catherine Bell said: “It was absolutely brilliant.

“The guy kept the kids totally engaged and everyone absolutely loved it.

“Daisy kept calling out and singing – she’s not shy at all. She was really involved in the show throughout.”

Actor and writer Robin Hemmings, who devised the show, said that audience participation was integral to its success.

The 28-year-old said: “I try to get the audience as involved as possible.

“There was a sing-a-long to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, a chance for some questions and answers and choreographed actions that the children could join in with.

“It was fantastic that the children felt comfortable and excited enough to tell me all about their lives.”
