THIS picture of an old ambulance on hoardings in front of the new Blavatnik School of Government building in Walton Street, Jericho, has been turning a few heads.

David Brown, of North Oxford, who took the photograph, was amused by its 3D-like image.

He said: “It looks like the ambulance is parked next to the [parking] meter.”

The ambulance is positioned opposite Oxford University Press.

The Blavatnik School of Government’s new building, still under construction, is expected to be completed by September next year.

Built on part of the former Radcliffe Infirmary site, the building is designed by Herzog & de Meuron – which was responsible for the Tate Modern in London – and is being funded by a £75m donation from US businessman Leonard Blavatnik.
