PLANES at Oxford Airport will be taking off about an hour behind schedule as air traffic problems ease.
Two planes were grounded because of airspace closures over London.
Airport manager Mike Sparrow said: “They will be taking off this evening but slightly later than scheduled.”
Because of computer problems at the Swanwick air traffic control centre planes across the country are being grounded until at least 7pm.
Mr Sparrow said: “It’s good that it’s been resolved. It was more inconvenience than anything else.”
He added that local traffic was unaffected because the airport has its own radar system that has not been experiencing troubles.
The video below shows the situation at London Heathrow, from PA sports reporter Simon Peach.
He was stuck on the runway on a plane from Istanbul due to the computer glitch.
