THE Oxford Bus Company has won the gold prize for the Access For All category in the Beautiful South Awards 2014.

The company, which operates bus services within the city, to London, Heathrow and Gatwick, and to the local park-and-ride sites, received the award at a ceremony at the Grand Hotel in Brighton, attended by the tourism industry on Thursday.

Managing director Phil Southall said: “We work hard to ensure everyone in the community can use our bus and coach services.

“This award recognises the work we’ve done on our own and in conjunction with OXTRAG (Oxfordshire Transport and Access Group).”
