N OXON: A coroner was unable to establish a cause of death for a 54-year-old Bloxham man who was not found for “some time” after death.

Oxfordshire Assistant Coroner Nicholas Graham yesterday recorded an open verdict in the inquest into Stephen Lynes, of Ayres Drive, who was found dead at his home on August 19.

He said: “The difficulty in this case is, due to the fact that Mr Lynes wasn’t discovered for some time, it was very difficult to establish a cause of death.”

Mr Graham said at Oxfordshire District Register Office that Mr Lynes could have died of natural causes but “it is simply not possible to establish that on the evidence”.
