EVERY November more men do their best to grow a decent moustache. Some end up with a fuzzy, pre-pubescent-style while others end up sporting a Ron Burgundy or a John Cleese.
But aside from being a bit of a giggle, the message behind it shouldn’t be forgotten.
Movember raises millions for prostate and testicular cancer and the men who take part, much to the horror of some of their wives and girlfriends, contribute to that. But the real impact is about awareness.
Some men, and women for that matter, find it hard to talk about their health. Let’s hope that when the mos are shaved off the message is remembered for the right reasons.
