Flight lieutenant Seb Davey has given the Oxford Mail a taste of flying the RAF's brand new A400M Atlas in a state-of-the art simulator at RAF Brize Norton.

The first of the 22 new aircraft, built by Airbus, is being unveiled at the West Oxfordshire base today.

They will eventually replace the C130J Hercules.

Flt lt Davey, who has flown in Hercules for 13 years, said: "It's pretty spectacular.

"We thought the C130 was great, and this takes that technology even further."
