Also admitted assaulting police constable Ross Clarkson in the execution of his duty in Witney on November 11. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Umair Banaras, 42, of Boundary Brook Road, Iffley, Oxford, was convicted of failing to give Thames Valley Police information which could identify a driver suspected of an offence between January 20 and February 17. Fined £600 and ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £200 costs. Licence endorsed with six points.

Shane Faulkner, 38, of Waterford Road, Madley Park, Witney, was convicted of failing to provide Thames Valley Police with information which could identify a driver suspected of an offence between October 11 and November 8, 2012. Fined £375 and ordered to pay a £37 victims’ surcharge and £200 costs. Banned from driving for 14 days.

James Messenger, 23, of Wards Crescent, Bodicote, admitted drink-driving on Britannia Road, Banbury, on October 23. Had 60 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the 35mg legal limit. Fined £110 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 18 months.

James Badrick, 35, of Main Road, Alvescot, admitted common assault in Witney on September 12. Fined £330 and ordered to pay a £33 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Dariusz Remisz, 26, of Warwick Road, Banbury, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place, namely Banbury High Street, on October 26. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Nicholas Byrne, 31, of The Paddocks, Enstone, near Chipping Norton, admitted drink-driving on Charlbury Road, the B4022, at Enstone, on June 28. Had 170 milligrams of alcohol in 100 ml of blood over the legal limit of 80mg. Fined £110 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 18 months.

Maciej Krysiak, 33, of Abbey Road, Witney, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress outside the Hollybush Inn and in Corn Street, Witney, on October 25. Given a community order with a six-week curfew between 8.30pm and 7.30am on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Also ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Jacob Powney, 21, of no fixed address, admitted stealing Weetabix cereal, cheesecakes, four jars of coffee and another £3.20 worth of food from Longelandes Way Co-op in Banbury on August 13, 14 and 15. Also admitted assault by beating in Banbury on August 14. Sent to prison for 14 days.

Courtney Harris, 40 of Moorfield Court, West Street, Banbury, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour at Oxford Railway Station on May 27. Fined £250 and ordered to pay a £25 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Roger Howarth, 61, of Moulsford, near Wallingford, admitted speeding at 43mph on a 30mph stretch of Reading Road, Cholsey, on February 26. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with four points.

Dawn Mitchell, 45, of Ipsden near Wallingford admitted speeding at 36mph on a 30mph road, namely The Street, Moulsford, on February 26. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.

Amit Mohindra, 35, of Oxford Road, Kidlington, admitted speeding at 38mph on 30mph Cumnor Hill, Botley, on March 3. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.

Adam Mould, 26, of Kiln Avenue, Chinnor, admitted speeding at 38mph on New Road, High Wycombe, which is 30mph, on February 28. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.

Victor Holland, 73, of Spruce Road, Kidlington, admitted drink-driving on Oxford Road, Kidlington, on October 21. Had 105 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the 35mg legal limit. Given a community order with a three-month curfew between 8pm and 6am and ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for four years.

OXFORD MAGISTRATES

Patrick Kavanagh, 25, of no fixed address, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place in Newman Road, Oxford, on November 10, and in Cowley Road, Oxford, on November 12. Also admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment alarm or distress in Kennett Road, Headington, Oxford, on November 13. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Qasim Hussain, 29, of Hurst Street, Oxford, admitted stealing meat worth £26.71 from the Co-op in Cowley Road, Oxford, on November 7. Given an eight-week prison sentence because of his prolific record and failure to respond to previous custodial and non-custodial sentences. Told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge.

Jacek Michalik, 25, of no fixed address, admitted drink-driving in Woodstock Road, Oxford, on November 7. Had 65 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given 18-month driving ban and told to pay a £140 fine, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Wayne Smith, 25, of Stansfeld Place, Oxford, admitted possessing cocaine, a Class A drug, on July 14 in Church Road, Sandford-on-Thames. Fined £165 and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20.

Paul Feeley, 32, of no fixed address, admitted failing to tell Vale of White Horse District Council between November 2012 and May 2013 that he had vacated a house in Whitehorns Way, Drayton, which affected his housing benefit. Given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £15 and £250 in costs.

Gavin Page, 36, of Farmington Drive, Witney, admitted drink-driving on September 16 on Hollybush Row, Oxford. Had 89mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, above the legal limit of 85mg. Given a year-long driving ban and fined £340. Ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £34 and £85 in costs.
