POLICE fear a bus driver was struck with a needle during an attack in Blackbird Leys.

The 64-year-old was attacked at Pegasus Road bus stop at 10am on Saturday, November 1, and several passengers were on the bus at the time.

Thames Valley Police did not release the information to the public until today, when the force wanted their help with the investigation.

The attackers was a white man in his 20s, 5ft 10ins tall with brown short hair and stubble. He was wearing a puffa jacket, light blue jeans and trainers.

A spokeswoman for Stagecoach said: "It is totally unacceptable for our staff to suffer any kind of abuse while doing their job and we fully support the police in their efforts to track down the person responsible."
