THERE are delays on First Great Western services due to a broken-down train near Paddington.

FGW's website says that although the train has been moved, trains are still being delayed and cancelled at short notice, with disruption expected to last until about 11am.

London Underground services from Ealing Broadway are accepting FGW tickets.

Passengers took to Twitter to vent their frustration at the company.

Tweeter @bigpinots said: "Dear @FGW, I suggest that you change your name to just 'Western trains' as you are clearly unable to be 'First' or 'Great' in running trains."

Also on the social media site was @thackeraydarren, who said: "First Great Western need to get their act together this morning. I have to get into London in the next 2 hours to catch a train."

And one user @shivapande sent the company a knock-knock joke about the delays:

Knock Knock..
Who's there?
An efficient train company
Efficient train company who?
First Great Western
