OXFORD MAGISTRATES

  1. Kalem Edwards, 22, of Sandy Lane, Blackbird Leys, Oxford, admitted causing criminal damage to reinforced glass panels in a police cell worth £698.13, in Abingdon police station on August 17. Also admitted failing to surrender to the custody of Oxford Magistrates’ Court on October 16. Told to pay £250 compensation.
  2. Malcolm Stear, 61, of Corn Bar, Witney, admitted failing to notify West Oxfordshire District Council of a change in his circumstances which he knew would affect his entitlement to housing benefit between July 8 and February 16 in Witney. Community order made with six-week curfew requirement. Also told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge as well as £85 costs.
  3. Ali Atashgah, 28, of Croft Avenue, Kidlington, near Oxford, admitted common assault in the Wig and Pen pub in George Street, Oxford, on June 25. Also admitted failing to surrender to the custody of Oxford Magistrates’ Court on October 10. Community order made with 100-hour unpaid work requirement and told to pay £50 compensation.
  4. Daniel Finch, 23, of Park View, Crowmarsh Gifford, near Wallingford, admitted drink driving in Oxford Road, Benson, near Wallingford, on October 11. Had 61 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given a 17-month driving ban and told to pay a £300 fine, a £30 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  5. Daniel Jones, 44, of Marlborough Road, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in the White House, Abingdon Road, Oxford, on October 11 by throwing a beer glass at his victim’s head. Community order made with eight-week curfew requirement and an exclusion order banning entry to the White House pub for six months. Also told to pay £60 compensation.
  6. Owen McDonagh, 25, of Moorbank, Oxford, admitted causing criminal damage in Longlands Road, Oxford, on October 3. Also admitted failing to surrender to the custody of Oxford Magistrates’ Court on October 17. Fined £75 and told to pay £250 compensation and £20 victims’ surcharge.
  7. Craig Holmes, 23, of Paddock Close, Benson, near Wallingford, admitted possessing three wraps of ketamine, a Class B drug, in Newbury Road, East Hendred, Wantage, on August 23. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 in costs.
  8. Thomas Routledge, 21, of School Close, Steventon, near Abingdon, admitted possessing 0.07 of ketamine, a Class B drug, in Newbury Road, East Hendred, Wantage, on August 23. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  9. Gregory Saunders, 21, of Bessels Lea, Blewbury, near Didcot, admitted possessing 0.48g of mephedrone, a Class C drug, in Newbury Road, East Hendred, Wantage, on August 23. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 in costs.
  10. Nicola Evans, 47, of Coromandel, Abingdon, convicted of two counts of assault by beating in Coromandel, Abingdon, on July 27. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.
  11. Michael Rusher, 41, of Kings Close, Letcombe Regis, near Wantage, admitted speeding at 38mph in a 30mph road on the A338 near East Hanney on February 10. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Given three points on his driving licence.
  12. Paul Wooldridge, 65, of Hamels Lane, Boars Hill, Oxford, admitted speeding at 100mph on a 70mph road on the M40 near Great Milton on March 29. Fined £400 and told to pay a £40 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Given six points on his driving licence.
  13. Jason Tripp, 26, of Larkhill Road, Abingdon, admitted assaulting PC Jonathan Evans in the execution of his duty at O’Neill’s pub in George Street, and Sun Alliance House, New Inn Hall Street, Oxford, on May 31. Fined £155 and told to pay £20 victims' surcharge and £85 costs.
  14. Patrick Scarlett, 50, of Kimber Close, Wheatley, near Oxford, admitted failing to comply with a red traffic light in Headington Road, Oxford, on January 24. Fined £600 and told to pay a £20 victims' surcharge. Given three points on his driving licence.
  15. Sean Gibson, 26, of Peat Moors, Headington, convicted of speeding at 40mph in a 30mph road in Iffley Road, Oxford, on March 30. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims' surcharge and £85 costs. Given three points on his diving licence.
  16. James North, 25, of Perth Road, Bicester, convicted of using a mobile phone while driving on the M40 near Bicester on April 5. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims' surcharge and £85 costs. Given three points on his licence.
  17. Moji Obasa, 43, of Marriott Close, Oxford, convicted of failing to give information as to the identity of a driver suspected of committing an offence in Banbury between March 21 and April 18. Fined £600 and told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Given six points on her licence.
  18. Ionut Panait, 29, of Cowley Road, Oxford, convicted of using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third party insurance in Pettiwell, Garsington, on April 10. Fined £600 and told to pay a £60 victims' surcharge and £85 costs. Also given six points on his driving licence.
