OXFORD MAGISTRATES
- Geoffrey Tozer, 30, of no fixed address, admitted stealing a speaker system worth £180 from Staples, in Park End Street, Oxford, on October 27 and two bottles of perfume together worth £61.49 from Boots, in Cornmarket Street, Oxford, on October 28. Given a four-week prison sentence because of similar convictions and because the offence was committed while on licence. Also told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge.
- Paul Best, 58, of Fitchett Yard, Abingdon, admitted assault by beating in Thornley Close, Abingdon on July 12. Community order made with a Building Better Relationships programme requirement for 31 days and a two-year supervision requirement. Also told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £400 costs.
- Tom Welland, 25, of The Warren, Abingdon, admitted possessing cannabis, a class B drug, in Abingdon on August 28. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.
- Korrie Richmond, 28, of Sherwood Place, Headington, in Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis, a class B drug, on March 6. Also admitted allowing the production of cannabis at a property in Sherwood Place, Headington, Oxford on or before March 3. Fined £130 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £35 costs.
- Ellen Gray, 66, of Mill Lane, Adderbury, near Banbury, admitted speeding at 38mph in a 30mph road, in Aynho Road, Adderbury, on March 13. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Given three points on her driving licence.
- John Pusey, 74, of Western Road, Oxford, admitted speeding at 35mph in a 30mph road, in Banbury Road, Oxford, on May 27. Given a six-month driving ban and told to pay a £200 fine, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- Luisa Allen, 33, of Mathews Way, Wootton, near Abingdon, admitted drink-driving in the A44 near Yarnton on October 11. Had 115 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given a 24-month driving ban and made subject to a community order with an 80-hour unpaid work requirement. Also told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- Jamell Khan, 35, of Sandy Lane, Blackbird Leys, Oxford, admitted drink-driving in Sandy Lane, Blackbird Leys, Oxford on October 12. Had 76 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given a 20-month driving ban and fined £305. Also told to pay a £31 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- Laura Raynor, 26, of Mandarin Place, Grove, near Wantage, admitted speeding on the A338 near East Hanney on February 10. Fined £80 and told to pay an £80 fine and a £20 victims’ surcharge. Given three points on driving licence.
BANBURY MAGISTRATES
- Jamie Anderson, 23, of Blenheim Road, Kidlington, admitted criminally damaging two wing mirrors on a Ford KA in Kidlington, with a value less than £5,000, on October 6. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £201 compensation, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- David Nicholls, 32, of Molyneux Drive, Bodicote, admitted drink-driving on Courtington Lane, Bloxham on August 22. Had 115 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of urine, over the legal limit of 107mg. Fined £400 and ordered to pay a £40 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from holding a driving licence for 12 months.
- Kim Rae, 35, of West Street, Banbury, admitted stealing £37 worth of food from Iceland, in Calthorpe Street, Banbury, on October 17. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £15 compensation and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
- Andrew Biggs, 53, of Eversley Close, Chadlington, near Chipping Norton, admitted failing to notify West Oxfordshire District Council that he had a job while still claiming council tax benefits from November 21, 2011 to March 31, 2013, and housing benefits between January 2, 2012 and June 30, 2013. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £45 costs.
- Nadia Elouath, 19, and Salwa Semlali, 19, of Ducklington Lane, Witney, admitted dangerous driving at Asthall, Witney, on June 21. Each given a six-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to carry out 150 hours’ unpaid work in the next year. Both ordered to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 15 months.
- Barry Albury, 42, of Church Close, Fringford, near Bicester, admitted possessing 702g of cannabis, a class B drug, in Church Close on August 22. Fined £450 and ordered to pay a £45 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- Marvin Barker, 23, of Evenlode, Banbury, admitted drink-driving in Cope Road, Banbury on October 11. Had 62 micrograms of alcohol in 100 ml of breath, over the 35mg legal limit. Also admitted driving without a proper licence or insurance. Banned from holding a driving licence for 18 months, fined £425 and ordered to pay a £26 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- Filip Domozych, 27, of Danes Road, Bicester, admitted possessing a kitchen knife in a public place, namely Danes Road, Bicester, on September 28. Told to do 150 hours of unpaid work in the next year and to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- Caroline O’Connell, 35, of Padbury Drive, Banbury, admitted stealing three packets of steak worth £32 from Marks and Spencer, in Banbury, on September 15. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £32 compensation.
- Denise Bowers of West End, Witney, was convicted of keeping an unlicensed car on a public road, namely Woolgate Car Park, in Witney, on June 25 and admitted keeping another unlicensed car on a public road, namely Chester Street, Oxford, on August 7. Fined £700 and ordered to pay £470 vehicle excise back duty and £180 costs.
- Philip Cox, 61, of Mathews Way, Wootton, near Abingdon, admitted keeping an unlicensed car on a public road, namely Kingsclere Road, Abingdon, on June 18. Fined £200 and ordered to pay £36.25 vehicle excise back duty and £90 costs.
