Bob Peeters feels Charlton need to be wary of the threat posed by Leeds United in what will be Neil Redfearn’s first home game back in charge of the Elland Road side.

The former caretaker returned as the permanent successor to Darko Milanic in time for Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Cardiff City.

However, tomorrow will mark the one-time Charlton player’s return to the home dug-out for the second time this season following a successful temporary spell in charge of first team affairs following David Hockaday’s early dismissal.

And although surprised by how many managerial departures there have been already in the Championship, Addicks head coach Peeters admits it can sometimes work in favour of the side that has wielded the axe.

He said: “Nearly half of the managers have already been sacked - I think it is 11 managers gone or left in the division.

“That shows again it is a very tough competition.

“Every time a team switches a manager they are going to liven up.

“Away to Leeds is always a very, very difficult game.

“There will be a busy crowd and a good atmosphere.

“We need to get us many points as we can out of this week but also by playing good football.

“That’s what we are going to try and do.”
