A man walking home with his wife and child was attacked by three men in Halloween costumes yesterday morning.

The 30-year-old was walking home from a party on Ock Meadows nature reserve, Abingdon, at about 1am, his wife and child ahead of him.

The family was on a path leading from Tower Close to Drayton Road, when three men approached.

One of the men, about 6ft and wearing a Scream mask, black top and jeans, pushed him in the shoulder then punched him in the head.

The other two men, one with fake blood on his face, also punched him, before all three ran off towards the town centre.
