A man suffered minor burns to his hands and face trying to put out a shed fire in Milton Heights, near Didcot.

Crews were called at 6.24pm on Thursday to Trenchard Avenue and found a large wooden shed on fire that the 65-year-old was trying to put out with a hose.

He suffered smoke inhalation and minor burns and was treated on the scene by firefighters before an ambulance arrived. He was taken to hospital as a precautionary to be checked over.
