Birmingham City manager Lee Clark has described Charlton’s start to the season as “fantastic” ahead of this weekend’s Valley encounter between the two sides.

The Blues make a quick return to south-east London following last night’s 3-1 success at Millwall, their first away win of the season.

Clark was asked at The Den what he had made of the Addicks so far.

“Very good,” he replied before being informed of Charlton’s stunning 1-0 win at Carrow Road.

“At Norwich? Wow. Fantastic then.

“It was very good - it has just turned into fantastic with that result.

“We knew we were in for a tough game.

“Bob Peeters has done a magnificent job, they are unbeaten in the league so it is going to be unbelievably tougher now.

“They will have some confidence but we’ve gone to Norwich ourselves and probably should have got three points so let’s see what happens.

“It is a tough game which has got a bit tougher now, but we will be up for it.”
