FUNDRAISERS swung into action and raised more than £12,000 for East Oxford hospice Helen & Douglas House.

Television star Dennis Waterman was joined by a host of celebrities at his third golf day for the children and young adults hospice in Magdalen Road.

More than 30 golfers and 12 celebrities gathered at Bicester Hotel Golf and Spa for the Clarke Waterman Celebrity Golf Day. The event on Friday, September 12, raised £12, 695 for the charity.

Dennis Waterman said: “We had a fantastic day. The weather was great and we had a lot of fun out on the golf course competing in Beat the Pro, Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin competitions.

Other celebrities at the event including actor Phil Davis, comedian Tim Brooke-Taylor, footballer Luther Blissett and ex rugby internationals, John Taylor and Mike Roberts.
