TOO often people contact the Oxford Mail angry over a plan in the neighbourhood that has already received planning permission.
It is far harder to stop the wheels of development when they have already been set in motion by the local authority, no matter how many signatures you get on a petition.
It is why it is vital residents take part in consultations and inquiries and have their say before it is too late.
Those with a view, either positive or negative, on the Barton West Town Green application should act now then.
The hearing begins early next month with the deadline for submissions falling on September 22. Those who fail to speak up will simply have to put up with whatever decision is reached.
