With so many good causes out there to support, you can’t blame charities for coming up with new ways of increasing awareness and donations. And the latest Ice Bucket Challenge has certainly done that.
It’s not been everyone’s cup of tea and many of the ‘victims’, who have been nominated to have buckets of ice and water poured over their heads, have their own reasons for turning down the offer.
But whatever your thoughts on the craze, which has flooded social media networks over the past few weeks, there’s no doubt it has been a huge success for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
So far £2m has been raised for the cause and that is bound to rise significantly.
Let’s hope the internet sensation is remembered for the right reasons.
