Barton United raised more than £1,500 with a charity fun day at Barton Community Pavilion yesterday afternoon.

The money raised by the children’s football tournament, bouncy castle, raffle and barbecue will be split between the football club and Diabetes UK.

Barton United fixtures secretary David Rose said: “It was very good. We had the weather for it, just a few spots of rain but that was about it.”
